THE PURPOSE OF THIS QUALIFICATION IS TO PREPARE A LEARNER TO:

  • Empower students with essential skills and expertise to excel as a home-based Care giver.

  • Evaluating, strategizing, and delivering comprehensive care and support tailored to patients and their families.

  • Making informed referrals to ensure seamless and ongoing care.

  • Keeping accurate records and reports to document the care and support provided, promoting transparency and accountability

Minimum Admission Requirements:

  •  Grade 10, 11 AND 12
  • Ancillary Health Care NQF Level 1


Examinations:

Learners will write an External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) exam, once they have completed their knowledge, practical and work experience modules. It is a single national assessment leading to the awarding of an Occupational Certificate. EISA is administered by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). Learners who pass the national examinations will be awarded an Occupational Certificate.
